Spanish Courses in Bogotá

Learn Spanish amidst the diversity in the most cosmopolitan city of Colombia!
Bogotá is located at the foot of the hills of the Eastern Range. It is a city full of contrasts that offers spaces for all kinds of interests: artistic, economic, social, commercial, and cultural.

About Bogotá

The climate in Bogotá is pleasant, although like all tropical cities, it can vary unexpectedly. Therefore, it is always recommended to go out with sunglasses and an umbrella, with a t-shirt and jacket in your bag, along with sunscreen and a scarf.

In the Center, you will find most of the museums and historical monuments that narrate the transition from the colony to independence. Throughout the city, you can appreciate images on its walls that remind you of the identity of a culture of fighters and dreamers.

Bogotá is recognized as the Latin American capital of graffiti and urban art. The display of creativity and color from various local and foreign artists captured on the facades of this concrete jungle makes the tours through any of its streets more interesting, even becoming an enjoyable way to learn idiomatic expressions.

The fridge, as the inhabitants of the Caribbean Coast jokingly call the capital, has become one of the preferred destinations to learn Spanish, as the people of Bogotá are known for speaking Spanish with a neutral accent. This statement has been supported by Victor Garcia de la Concha, a Spanish philologist and current director of the Instituto del Cervantes.
In addition to learning Spanish and visiting the surroundings, business can also be conducted here, as the main offices of the most influential companies and factories in the country’s economy are located here.

About Lenguache Bogotá

Lenguache is located in the Chapinero locality, situated in the northeast of Bogotá. It is one of the traditional localities of the city. Its name comes from the chapines, a type of footwear that became very fashionable because it allowed people to jump over puddles and mud. Thus, the sector grew, and the chapines became the commercial base of this neighborhood in the 17th century.

Today, in addition to commerce, Chapinero is recognized as a university area, filled with urban art, a variety of restaurants, cultural centers, nightclubs, and parks. If we were to summarize everything that can be found in Bogotá into a single sector, it would be Chapinero.

For Lenguache, offering Spanish classes from this vibrant city represents a great opportunity to fulfill our mission as a language school and to convey the essence of Latin American cosmopolitan life.
